2025 Publix Atlanta Half Marathon | KPF Athlete Application

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) FOR KPF ATHLETES & KPF FAMILIES
This is my first time racing with The Kyle Pease Foundation. Do I need to provide a racing chair for my KPF Athlete/ child?
Welcome! We’re excited you’re here to race with us. KPF provides each KPF Athlete with a racing chair for race day! If you are unsure of which type of race chair will work for your athlete, please contact Zach Watson at zach@kylepeasefoundation.org to set up your chair fitting and/or to connect prior to race day!
This is my first time at the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon, how does the weekend typically work?
Saturday, March 1, 2025 is when we host our annual Publix Dinner Celebration, and where you will pick up your race gear and bib for race day. Sunday, March 2, 2025, bright and early is race day!
Do I have to fundraise for this event?
All KPF Athletes are not required to fundraise for this event. However, if you’d like to join in on the fun, please contact Morgan Pappas at morgan@kylepeasefoundation.org
WOW! There’s some cool additional swag that people are getting! How do I get those items? Can I purchase them?
Great question! We have special items as fundraising incentives if our KPF Teams/Teammates go above and beyond their fundraising! If you want to join in and receive these items, you would have to fundraise for them. They are not available for purchase and or sale. Please contact Morgan Pappas at morgan@kylepeasefoundation.org for any more questions about the cool swag!
Friendly reminder! ALL KPF ATHLETES get a special gift race weekend! Plenty of swag heading your way.
Do I have to pay for our hotel stay?
Nope! As a KPF Athlete, The Kyle Pease Foundation provides a hotel stay the night before the race (Saturday, February 24th). One room for a KPF Athlete/ KPF Family. If you would need an additional day, we asked that you contact Zach Watson at zach@kylepeasefoundation.org to see if we’re able to extend your stay. We cannot guarantee we can, but we’ll do our best to try.
Is there a meal provided during the race weekend?
Yes! Saturday, March 1, 2025 is when we host our annual Publix Dinner Celebration. Each KPF Athlete will be given tickets to this event, which will cover the KPF Athlete and their parents or caregivers. Purchasing additional tickets will be made available for a small window of time at a later date that will be shared with all participants. If you have any questions regarding tickets, please reach out to Zach Watson at zach@kylepeasefoundation.org.
On the morning of race day, we’ll have light breakfast items, bananas, coffee, water, etc. provided by our presenting sponsor, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. We encourage that if your KPF Athlete requires a heavier meal in the morning, you prep for that in advance of race weekend.
For the Publix Dinner Celebration, who do I reach out to about my food allergies?
Please reach out to Zach Watson at zach@kylepeasefoundation.org with any diet restrictions and/or food allergies.
If I raced in 2024 and have a specific race chair that I would like to use, how do I get to use that same chair?
Please request that chair in your race application, and email Zach Watson at zach@kylepeasefoundation.org and we will make our best effort to get you or your child in that specific chair.
If I request a specific Team and/or KPF Teammate, does that mean I automatically get that pusher?
We cannot guarantee and/or promise that you’ll be paired up with a specific teammate and/or team. We will do our best to pair you up with your preferred pusher.
