Registration deadline for in-chair athletes has past.

The Race 4 Grace is, Atlanta's own, Bentley-Grace Hicks' gift to others as a platform and life changing experience to inspire and motivate everyone to push past whatever obstacles they face and hit the road "running" toward living a purpose driven life!

Bentley-Grace began racing in 2015 as a member of Team KPeasy at the 40th annual running of the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington DC. When she finished the grueling 26.2 miles, she was exhausted, elated, proud and forever changed.  It was in the training and on the streets of our Nation's Capital that Bentley-Grace found her passion... to experience life as a committed and determined athlete in long distance racing!

THE KYLE PEASE FOUNDATION POLICY FOR IN-PERSON EVENTS
SPRING 2021

The Kyle Pease Foundation’s Policy for In-Person Events has been updated in accordance with the information shared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on May 13, 2021. Click here for the CDC website.

“Warning. Under Georgia law, there is no liability for an injury or death of an individual entering these premises if such injury or death results from the inherent risks of contracting COVID-19. You are assuming this risk by entering these premises.”

Events will be limited in number and will require pre registration.

KPF’s preference is the in-chair athlete’s family will take care of transferring them from their everyday chair to the racing chair and back. If this is not possible, volunteers will assist while wearing a mask.

Even if you have been fully vaccinated (as defined by the CDC as: 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine) KPF still asks you to wear a mask while transferring or directly interacting with in-chair athletes.

No one is permitted to participate if:

  1. They are unvaccinated and have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

  2. They are unvaccinated and are awaiting Covid-19 test results.

  3. They are vaccinated or unvaccinated and have been advised to quarantine by a medical professional.

  4. They are vaccinated or unvaccinated and are displaying symptoms of Covid-19

    1. Fever or chills

    2. Cough

    3. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    4. Fatigue

    5. Muscle or body aches

    6. Headache

    7. New loss of taste or smell

    8. Sore throat

    9. Congestion or runny nose

    10. Nausea or vomiting

    11. Diarrhea

    12. This list does not include all possible symptoms.

KPF will sanitize each chair before and after each use with an EPA-approved cleaner that kills COVID-19.

The use of masks while gathering, setting up, and cleaning up is highly encouraged for those who are not vaccinated and/or have a compromised immune system.

The use of masks while running will be left to the discretion of the in-chair athlete and their family.

All participants are highly encouraged to bring their own water bottle.
