Volunteers:

If this is your first event with KPF, please complete this form as soon as possible.

What to wear:

Always dress for the weather. We have no idea what that will be yet

For this event we ask you to wear KPF attire. If you do not have any KPF gear or you would like to order more, shop our store at https://www.kylepeasefoundation.org/store

Masks:

Masks are required. PLEASE BRING ONE (or gaiter) WITH YOU.  If you are interested in a KPF mask, please bring $10 with you. Cash is easiest or allow a few extra moments for credit cards. We will have some KPF swag with us, but preorders are always easiest.

ATC Resolution Run Race Shirts

We will pick up your ATC Race shirt and bring it to The Silver Comet for you if you registered with ATC. If you do NOT want us to pick up your shirt, please let us know

Event day details:

All of the following procedures have been created in KPF’s best attempt to encourage and facilitate social distancing.

Arrival Time: The time you have been assigned is your arrival time. Please be prompt, but not too early.

Check-in:

Everyone participating, volunteering, or spectating will have their temperature taken. If the reading is above 99.6, that person as well as potentially those who traveled with them will be asked to leave and join us on another day.

Teams: Our event is at capacity. Teams have been emailed to registered participants.

Start: KPF is viewing this event as a run not a race. Therefore, once your team is set, we ask you to start your run. We will have turn around signs for a 5K loop and 10K out and back.

Finish: Once finished, volunteers make sure your athlete has been reconnected with their caregivers/family/everyday chair. Athletes and volunteers will be given a small snack bag ‘to go’ and after cooling down, we request you depart from our staging area. As the song says, “you don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here.”

A reminder:

Everyone’s health and safety is our primary concern.

The Kyle Pease Foundation Policy for In-Person Events, effective Fall 2020:

Events will be limited in number and will require pre-registration.

No one is permitted to participate if:
They are awaiting a Covid 19 test result.
They have traveled out of the state of Georgia in the past 14 days.
They are feeling ill. This includes seasonal allergies.
They have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

Each in-chair athlete, volunteer, and guardian/spectator must complete our health questionnaire upon arrival and sign an additional waiver. (Guardians will sign for those who are under 18 or unable to make their own mark.)

Each person in attendance will have their temperature taken. If the reading is above 99.6, that person as well as potentially those who traveled with them will be asked to leave and join us on another day.

KPF’s preference is the in-chair athlete’s family will take care of transferring them from their everyday chair to the racing chair and back. If this is not possible, volunteers will assist while wearing a mask and will use hand sanitizer between transfers.

The use of masks/face shields while gathering, setting up, running, and cleaning up is REQUIRED for in-chair athletes and REQUIRED for volunteers and guardians.

Whenever possible athletes and volunteers will maintain social distancing recommendations of 6-feet from each other.
