About the race:

The Trout Trot 5K coincides with Blue Ridge Trout Fest—Georgia’s official trout festival! Spring in the North Georgia mountains is spectacular, making this event the perfect way to welcome warmer weather with an active, fun-filled weekend in McCaysville and Blue Ridge.

Participants will enjoy a scenic 3.1-mile course—with one hill—that crosses the state line twice between McCaysville, GA, and Copperhill, TN. The route winds alongside the picturesque Toccoa River, through two charming downtowns, and is ideal for runners, walkers, strollers, and even four-legged friends.

This time of year is perfect for a cozy cabin getaway. After the 5K, stick around to enjoy post-event festivities, live music, and trout-themed fun throughout Fannin County.

All proceeds benefit the nonprofit McCaysville Business Association, supporting economic and cultural growth in the Copper Basin. Plus, the Trout Trot 5K is an Official Peachtree Qualifier for the AJC Peachtree Road Race.
