2027 Publix Atlanta Half Marathon | KPF Athlete Application
Set in our hometown of Atlanta, GA, the Publix Atlanta Marathon and Half Marathon has established itself as a premier destination for runners of all abilities. This long-distance event brings together elite runners, wheelchair athletes, and everyday runners and walkers in a powerful celebration of endurance and community. With more than 17,000 registered participants in its inaugural year, it quickly became one of the largest first-year marathon and half marathon combinations in history. Each year, the excitement continues to build, solidifying its place as a True Southern Tradition.
We invite you to join The Kyle Pease Foundation’s Race Team for the 2027 Publix Atlanta Half Marathon, presented by our friends at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

FAQs for KPF Athletes and KPF Families
This is my first time racing with The Kyle Pease Foundation. Do I need to provide a racing chair for my KPF Athlete or child?
Welcome! We are excited you are racing with us. KPF provides each KPF Athlete with a racing chair for race day. If you are unsure which type of racing chair will work best for your athlete, please contact Charlie Holder at charlie@kylepeasefoundation.org to schedule a chair fitting and connect prior to race weekend.
This is my first time at the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon. How does race weekend typically work?
Race weekend kicks off on Saturday with our annual Publix Dinner Celebration. This is when you will pick up your race gear and bib and gather with the KPF community.
Sunday morning is race day. We will share detailed race day logistics and timelines with all participants closer to the event.
Do I have to fundraise for this event?
KPF Athletes are not required to fundraise for this event. However, if you would like to participate in fundraising, we would love to have you join in. Please contact Izzie Keaton at izzie@kylepeasefoundation.org for more information.
I see additional swag items that others are earning. How do I receive those? Can I purchase them?
Great question. We offer special fundraising incentive items for KPF Teams and Teammates who exceed their fundraising goals. These items are earned through fundraising and are not available for purchase.
If you would like to participate and earn these items, please contact Izzie Keaton at izzie@kylepeasefoundation.org.
Friendly reminder that all KPF Athletes receive a special gift during race weekend.
Do I have to pay for the hotel stay?
No. As a KPF Athlete, The Kyle Pease Foundation provides one hotel room for Saturday night prior to race day for the KPF Athlete and their family.
If you need to request an additional night, please contact Zach Watson at zach@kylepeasefoundation.org. While we cannot guarantee extended stays, we will do our best to accommodate requests when possible.
Is there a meal provided during race weekend?
Yes. Saturday evening we host our annual Publix Dinner Celebration. Each KPF Athlete will receive tickets covering the athlete and one (1) parent or caregiver. Additional tickets may be made available for purchase for a limited time. Details will be shared with participants closer to race weekend.
If you have questions regarding tickets, please contact Zach Watson at zach@kylepeasefoundation.org.
On race morning, light breakfast items such as bananas, coffee, and water will be provided by our presenting sponsor, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. If your athlete requires a heavier or specific meal, we encourage you to plan accordingly in advance.
Who should I contact about food allergies or dietary restrictions for the Publix Dinner Celebration?
Please email Zach Watson at zach@kylepeasefoundation.org with any dietary restrictions or food allergies so we can plan accordingly.
If I raced previously and would like to use the same racing chair again, what should I do?
Please indicate your preferred chair in your race application and email Zach Watson at zach@kylepeasefoundation.org. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.
If I request a specific team or KPF Teammate, does that guarantee I will be paired with that pusher?
We cannot guarantee that you will be paired with a specific teammate or team. However, we will absolutely do our best to honor your request whenever possible.
