2019 was the year that brought Seirra and Sarah together. Inspired by Kyle and Brent’s journey to the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Sarah wanted to support their mission of fighting for inclusion in sport. She volunteered for the Marine Corps Marathon and was paired to race with Seirra. They connected instantly and became a dynamic duo being inspired by each other's perseverance, grit, determination, and passion for the sport.

The morning of the MCM was a torrential downpour, one they could never forget. Sarah joked to Seirra that they would be swimming instead of running, to which Seirra responded that was okay with her as she loves the water. This is the moment in time they connected about their love for triathlon.

After the MCM Seirra told Sarah she hopes to come to Philadelphia one day so we could race again together. About a week later, Sarah called The Kyle Pease Foundation to see if they could support Seirra coming to Philadelphia for the Philly Marathon four weeks out. Without hesitation, the team got the ball rolling, and Seirra was Philly bound with her amazing family. Sarah and Seirra finished the race strong with a PR and in the snow!

Once the Philadelphia Marathon was conquered, Seirra asked Sarah if she would support her in becoming an IRONMAN. Sarah gave Seirra her pink Ironman hat and made the commitment to get the team to the starting line!

Sarah and Seirra were the first all-female team representing The Kyle Pease Foundation at an IRONMAN event in September 2022 at IRONMAN Augusta 70.3

While Seirra and Sarah have not crossed their IRONMAN finish line YET, they have their eyes set on Pushing Beyond Limits Together again in the future. They are forever grateful for your kind words of encouragement and continued support as we fight for inclusion in sport.
